Paul Rugg and Mr. Guy.

Paul Rugg is an Emmy Award-winning writer, voice actor, and improv performer who worked on various Jim Henson Company projects.

Rugg has served as a performer in Henson's Puppet Up! - Uncensored stage show since its founding in 2005. Rugg was a writer on the pilot episodes of the Henson Alternative talk show Late Night Buffet with Augie and Del and plays Captain Futz in the Henson webseries The Simian Undercover Detective Squad.

Rugg also co-created and directed the Henson webseries The Sam Plenty Cavalcade of Action! Show Plus Singing!, and performed Ditch in the Henson digital puppetry series Wilson & Ditch: Digging America.

Rugg wrote about joining Henson's puppet improv troupe on his blog, stating:

A few years ago, I had the chance to learn the basics (basics only mind you) of puppetry at the Jim Henson Company. I was asked to join an improv group that Henson was forming. Improv...combined with puppets. I knew improv. I didn't know puppets. I showed up for my first rehearsal and sat in the back. The folks in that room were (and still are) the best puppeteers in the world. The Neil Armstrongs of puppetry: Drew Massey. Allan Trautman, Victor Yerrid, Julianne Buescher, Bill Barretta, Brian Henson, Leslie Carrara-Rudolph. [1]

A founding member of the ACME Comedy Group, Rugg has also written and supplied voices for Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Histeria, and Freakazoid, as well as Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and Dave the Barbarian. On-camera, Rugg played Manny the Uncanny and Alistair Flyndiggery in interstitial segments on ABC's One Saturday Morning.
